Manufacturers in Ohio Receive Good News

Earlier in the summer, manufacturers in Ohio received good news about gains in employment from the 12-month report ending in May. According to the Columbus Business First publication, state-wide job gains increased 17,100 making Ohio second to Michigan in manufacturing-related gains in the Great Lakes states. Despite the growth, the regional economic development agency cited a lack of areas for immediate development as manufacturing facilities in the Greater Cincinnati area. The comment, reported in the Cincinnati Business Courier, came from Johnna Reeder, CEO of REDI Cincinnati, the regional economic development agency for southwest Ohio, northern Kentucky and southeast Indiana.
